I've been using Hostnserver's VPS based in Chicago for a few weeks now. The setup was instant, and performance has been consistent for my use case (lightweight web apps and personal projects). The CPU (2x Xeon vCores) handles tasks well, and 2GB ECC RAM is a solid addition for reliability.
While there's no SSD, the unmetered traffic on a 1Gbps uplink is a big plus, especially for bandwidth-heavy applications. I also like that they accept Bitcoin and altcoins — makes it very convenient. Support was responsive when I reached out with some OS-related questions. Would recommend it to devs who are comfortable managing their own stack and want a budget-friendly, stable VPS in the US.
